Session Fees

weekdays (M-Th): $125 for up to four subjects; $25/per add'l subject (person or animal)

weekends (F/S/S): $175 for up to four subjects; $25/per add'l subject (person or animal)

travel beyond 35-mile radius from Texas State Capital: $50

Session fees are due at the time you schedule your appointment in order to hold your date, and can be paid with a check or via PayPal; please see the link Reserve Your Session to connect to PayPal. In the photography industry, the session fees are often referred to as Time & Talent fees, as this is what is covered. There is a $35 print credit included with each session fee; you may apply this to any print or album order.

Each 75-90 minute portrait session is preceded by a consultation so that I may understand what you would like from the session; this meeting can occur in person or on the phone, whichever is your preference. If you need guidance with selection of location or clothing, I am happy to assist with this in our initial discussion. Sessions are typically booked 6 - 8 weeks in advance; please know that I keep my online calendar as current as possible, but prefer that you send me a note with your requested dates at the time you book your session.

Occasionally, Holly Dawson Photography offers Specialty Sessions to clients on file; these abbreviated sessions provide the opportunity to have a portrait session for up to four subjects at a locale and with props of my choice; a portrait product is always included in the Specialty Session fee. Please send a note via the Contact Me form on this site so that you may be included in these offers.

Prints* start at $35 for 5x7” gallery prints; archival albums, custom cards, portrait and digital collections are available for purchase. Typically, clients spend $900 per session, including all session fees. Please e-mail me with a request for a complete and up-to-date price list.

*Prices are subject to change until your session is booked and paid in full; product prices listed at the time of your session will remain in effect for 30 days from when the gallery goes live.

All rates and fees quoted herein do not include Texas sales tax of 8.25%; however, tax will be applied and collected when you reserve your session or place your print order. Shipping charges are included with your session fees.

Order Details

Images from your session can be viewed in an online gallery approximately three (3) weeks post-session; you will receive a link to the gallery and a password to access your slideshow. The gallery of at least 20 fully-edited images will remain active for seven (7) days; the viewing time can be extended for an additional three (3) days with a charge of $35 added to your final order.

Print orders will be placed once payment is received in full; payment may be made with a check or via PayPal. Please allow four (4) weeks for delivery of prints, and six (6) weeks for delivery of albums and canvases.

Purchased images will remain stored for one year; unpurchased images will be stored for 45 days post-session, and then purged from storage.

Due to the nature of custom fine art photography, all sales are final. If the final proofs do not delight you, we will schedule another portrait session. All digital images from your session by Holly Dawson Photography are protected by copyright, and remain the property of Holly Dawson Photography; they may not be reproduced, copied, scanned or manipulated in any way without the expressed written permission of Holly Dawson Photography. All final prints will be digitally signed with the circular HDP logo.
